Dear Parents and Families,
We are delighted to announce our reopening date is October 9th, 2017. Century House Montessori School will be hosting a special intervention and outreach programme called Montessori H.O.P.E. [Helping Others, Providing Education] during the months of October, November and December for children ages 18 months to 12 years old. In true Montessori spirit, we will be opening our classrooms to the wider community through this special initiative. The programme description is as follows:
At CHMS, we encourage children’s natural inquisitiveness and creativity in a structured, safe environment to enable exploration and free-thinking. This approach instills a love of knowledge, producing innovative, confident, critical thinkers and problem solvers. Children will experience a hands-on, fun, learning educational experience using Montessori materials. There will be primary focus on Language and Math as well as basic lessons in the cultural subjects. They will explore and enjoy Art, Music, Poetry, Sports, Baking and Gardening.
It is also our aim to instill a love of service, even more so now considering the current situation in our beloved BVI. Each week the children will participate in community service activities through acts of kindness like baking sweet treats for those who are working tirelessly to restore and rebuild our communities. It is important to reassure our children and community that even in light of the recent devastation to our islands, there is HOPE.
Tuition for the H.O.P.E. program is $450 per month. Families with more than one child will be given a 50% discount on each child after the first. The program will run Monday to Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm. A daily hot meal will be included.
Please confirm registration as soon as possible so that we can secure your spot. You can contact us via email at office@montessoribvi.com or by phone at 542-6731. There will be someone at the school daily from 10am-1pm starting this Wednesday 4th October to receive cash payments only for enrollment. Please note that these special accommodations are limited to the next 3 months. We intend to resume our regular Montessori program, hopefully utilizing all of the school's facilities with full curriculum and a review of the tuition fees in January 2018. More updates on this will be provided as it becomes available. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We hope that you are all doing well and we look forward to seeing you soon.
